About Kevin H. Saville
The Law Office of Kevin H. Saville, P.C., is a family law practice focusing on divorce, parenting plans, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements, and mediation. We also offer a variety of other family law services, depending on our clients’ needs.
Kevin H. Saville received his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 1995. While attending he spent each summer clerking for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During this period he assisted in preparing appellate court briefs, was involved in daily courtroom proceedings in felony courts in both Skokie and Chicago, including settlement conferences and trials.
As a senior law student under direct supervision of the assistant state’s attorney, he successfully prosecuted three felony cases in Chicago. He also assisted the prosecution team in a double jury/death penalty case where the juries each voted to convict, and one defendant received the death penalty.
Upon graduation, Kevin became associated with a general practice firm in DuPage County where he appeared in civil, traffic and criminal court, and handled real estate closings. He went on to associate positions with small firms in DuPage County and Chicago and concentrated his practice on domestic relations matters before forming his own firm in 2011.
Kevin has represented clients in the Circuit Courts of Cook (including all suburban districts), DuPage, Kane, Lake and McHenry counties. He was a certified children’s representative in DuPage from 1999 to 2004 and was appointed to serve in two diverse and complex matters. He served as vice chair of the DuPage Legal Aid Foundation from 1998 to 1999, and chair from 1999 to 2000. Kevin has been a member of the DuPage Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association since 1995. He received his Mediation Certification in 2006 and Collaborative Practice Certification in 2007. Kevin also conducted mediations as a volunteer in 2010 – 2011 during the pilot program of The Cook County Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Program. He is a fellow in the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois.
Kevin currently serves as a court facilitator in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County (since 2008), and is a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association (since 2009). He is co-chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee Cook County (2015 – 2017). He is a member of the ISBA Family Law Section Council (2016). In addition, as of Feb. 14, 2014, Kevin was certified to represent minor children in Cook County as children’s representative, guardian ad litem or lawyer for the child.
